Starting on 4th November, German carrier Condor will be introducing a direct flight from Frankfurt to Johannesburg. This flight will supplement Condor’s seasonal flights to Cape Town during Germany’s winter.

Since 14^th September 2022, Air Belgium now connects South Africa and Belgium. Their flights operate on Mondays and Thursdays between Johannesburg and Brussels. Air Belgium can now fly passengers to 38 destinations in Southern Africa. This will allow Air Belgium to connect to Zambia (Ndola, Lusaka or Livingstone) through their Johannesburg route and then further partnering with Airlink.

According to the Global Business Travel Association, business travellers set to see air fares rise by 8.4%, hotel rates by 8.2%, and car rental charges by 6.8% in 2023. The primary drivers for this increase are the rising fuel prices, labor shortages, and inflationary pressures in raw material costs. Also a factor to consider for this increase is that business travel and leisure travel have amplified since travel restrictions have eased in most countries.
