Mfuwe lodge's attractiveness is immediately apparent, since it is located inside the park, just five minutes' drive from the main entrance. Its thatched huts are built around the banks of two lagoons, under a canopy of ebony and mahogany, where an unending stream of animals will keep you entranced.

It is located in the South Luangwa Park at a superb position. It has a beautiful view of the Mfuwe Lagoon, which is home to a big pod of hippos and is covered with vibrant green Nile cabbage. The lagoon shrinks in size during the dry season, yet it draws more fauna to these little oases.
